Happy New Year – Newsletter 1 Jan 2014

Dear Friend,
I hope and pray that this finds you having a good start to 2014.  As I write this the rain looks like it has set in for the day in Didcot but before I complain I am quickly reminded of the hurricane last year in the Philippines and how blessed we are to have shelter and warmth. It is an excellent time to reflect on God’s promises to us as we start a new year and give Him all the praise for His many blessings to us. You may have a verse that God has been sharing with you for 2014 (this Sunday it would be a blessing if you felt able to share it with the congregation at church).  On this first day of a new year this Psalm of praise speaks to me:
“Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.  Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.  Declare his glory among the nations, his marvellous deeds among all peoples.”  Psalm 96: 1-3
God bless and much love from
