Praying and fasting: The church in Didcot is prayerfully considering the next steps that our Heavenly Father God would have us take, including the appointment of an associate/assistant pastor later this year. Here is some guidance from our Lord Jesus about fasting from Matthew 6 and verses 16 to 18:

“When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.  But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face,  so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.””
We are very grateful for the ways in which God has blessed us over the last years and guided through both mountain and valley times.  We have confidence He will guide us on this next stage of the journey. We are reminded of His great faithfulness to us in Psalm 89 verse 18 “Indeed, our shield belongs to the Lord, our King to the Holy One of Israel.”
God bless and much love from
