Simply the cross:
One of the expressions that you sometimes hear, whether it’s in golf or cooking, is “Get back to the basics”. It’s usually when an individual has over complicated the task and is now struggling to get even the simple things right . In the Christian faith sometimes we too can make things too complicated and lose sight of of what it is all about. This Easter the picture of the empty cross says it all. Jesus, the perfect Son of God has taken the punishment and pain we should have taken and died for our sin… and He conquered death! This Easter we celebrate that we have life eternal because of one who loves us very much.
” Jesus said , “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.” John 11:25-26
This Easter – keep it simple… think about Jesus and the cross.
